The dismantling of the Biblis nuclear power plant necessitated the construction of a second waste storage facility for the interim storage of radioactive waste and residual materials, a so-called LAW (low active waste) storage facility.
HOCHTIEF was commissioned with the execution planning for the object, structural, infrastructure and technical building services planning. In addition, we were responsible for the preparation of technical specifications, building and nuclear law application documents in accordance with HBO and StrlSchV, for the provision of proof of explosion pressure wave, seismic stress and stability for container stacks, and for the preparation of tender documents. HOCHTIEF also provided services in the course of construction supervision and execution.
