LasmA Brunsbüttel

A storage facility for low and intermediate level radioactive waste (LasmA) resulting from the planned dismantling of the power plant unit was completed at the Brunsbüttel site in 2020. The two-bay hall is of solid construction on large bore piles.

In this project, HOCHTIEF was commissioned with the design, approval and execution planning in the field of object and structural planning. A particular challenge was the verification of seismic stresses and the stresses from explosion pressure waves. In addition, we took over the planning of flood protection measures, the services for building physics as well as the planning services for the infrastructure.
