EPSSN steel and rolling mill

Ciudad Piar, Venezuela

In Ciudad Piar, in northeastern Venezuela, the SMS group has planned the construction of one of the country's largest steel and rolling mills. HOCHTIEF Engineering provided the complete structural detail engineering consisting of design specifications, static calculations, dynamic calculations for earthquakes, formwork and reinforcement plans. The structural engineering was carried out in accordance with Venezuelan standards and US-ACI.

  • Project duration: December 2011 to October 2012
  • Scope of work: 75 static calculations, 735 formwork plans, 2380 reinforcement plans and other execution plans
